Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
I am able to offer a comprehensive assessment and treatment of all women's health issues that affect the musculoskeletal system. These include conditions such as pelvic pain (both pregnancy related and not), vulval pain, pelvic floor muscle weakness, pelvic floor muscle overactivity, issues with bladder and bowel control, and vaginal prolapse. An assessment lasts up to 60 minutes, and will include a treatment plan and home exercises. Subsequent treatment sessions will be up to 30 or 45 mins long.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture
I am a qualified acupuncturist (through ALIED), and often use acupuncture as a treatment, or as a part of treatment with my clients. Acupuncture can work brilliantly for pain relief, muscle spasm, and trigger points. Sessions are 45 mins long, and at the same fee rate as Physiotherapy. A trial needs to be carried out prior to proceeding. It is recommended that an initial block of 6 acupuncture sessions is booked, in order to see the potential benefit. Initial appointments should be one week apart.
Mummy MOT
Mummy MOT
I am a recognised Mummy MOT practitioner, and am able to offer assessment and treatment of all musculoskeletal problems relating to pregnancy and birth. A Mummy MOT package lasts 1 hour 15 mins, and includes a postural screen for musculoskeletal issues, a pelvic floor check and an abdominal muscle check for separation. Appropriate exercises will be prescribed and a treatment plan suggested if ongoing appointments are indicated.
Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates
I am an Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute certified Pilates matwork instructor, and use Pilates based exercises frequently in my Physiotherapy treatments and in home exercise programmes. I now offer Pilates 1:1, 2:1 and small group classes in Hadleigh and Ipswich (5 people max). These include classes for beginners, improvers, more advanced clients and for pregnant and postnatal women. Please contact Hadleigh Physiotherapy or email me direct for further information.
Virtual Physio and Pilates
Virtual Physio and Pilates
In light of the current situation with Covid-19, I am now offering virtual appointments via video conferencing (usually Zoom, but other means are possible) in addition to telephone consultations (which I have carried out for some time now). Initial Physiotherapy appointments, Mummy MOT's and Pilates appointments can be carried out via video conferencing in order to assess and observe how you move. Please email me direct if you would like further information.
